Job Description

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Lead Interactive Designer to shape the user experience and visual design of their digital platforms and products. This role is based in our creative studio in San Antonio, Texas, US and is a hybrid opportunity offering both in-office collaboration and remote flexibility. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in UX/UI, interaction design, and user-centered design principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design projects from concept to completion.
  • Translate user needs and business requirements into intuitive, aesthetically pleasing designs.
  • Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and final visual designs ensuring consistency across touchpoints.
  • Mentor junior designers and provide constructive feedback.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and analyze feedback to iterate improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and marketing teams to meet functional specifications and brand guidelines.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in interactive design.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in UI/UX and interactive design.
  • Expert proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD).
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual design skills and user-centered design methodologies.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring design teams.
  • Excellent understanding of web and mobile design patterns, accessibility standards, and responsive design.
  • Ability to articulate design rationale and present concepts effectively to stakeholders.
  • Experience with user research and usability testing methodologies.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of front-end development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
