Entry Level Engineer

Position Overview

Seeking an entry-level Engineer for a contract opportunity in Lisle to support our client’s technical team. This role involves hands-on work preparing test samples, conducting tests, and assisting with technical documentation and analysis. It is ideal for recent graduates or students seeking practical experience in testing, sample preparation, and data collection.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of test samples according to established procedures and specifications.
• Set up and operate testing equipment (e.g., tensile testers, hardness testers, electrical hipot testers).
• Perform routine testing using laboratory equipment and tools under supervision.
• Record and analyze test data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Support engineers with troubleshooting test setups and interpreting results.
• Document procedures, observations, and outcomes in technical reports.
• Maintain lab equipment and ensure a clean, safe working environment in compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the timely completion of project tasks.

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, etc.) or a related field.
• Basic understanding of engineering principles and laboratory practices.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior internship or lab experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with testing equipment and data analysis tools.
• Exposure to CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) is a plus.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
