Our client, a renowned and rapidly expanding player in the CPG food and beverage industry, is seeking an innovative and strategically minded Senior Brand Manager to lead key product lines from their Cincinnati, Ohio, US operational hub. This pivotal role demands a leader with a proven track record in brand strategy, product innovation, and market growth within the competitive consumer packaged goods sector. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive brand plans, including market research, consumer insights, product positioning, marketing communications, and P&L management. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of consumer behavior, market dynamics, and the marketing mix, with a demonstrated ability to translate insights into impactful brand initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, sales, operations, and external agencies, to drive product development, launch new products, and optimize existing portfolios. This role requires exceptional analytical skills, creative thinking, and the ability to manage complex projects and budgets effectively. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute annual and long-term brand strategies to drive volume, market share, and profitability.
  • Conduct market research and analyze consumer insights to identify growth opportunities and unmet needs.
  • Lead the innovation pipeline, from concept development through commercialization, for new products and line extensions.
  • Develop and manage integrated marketing communication plans across all relevant channels (advertising, digital, social, PR, in-store).
  • Manage the brand's P&L, including forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to ensure effective brand representation and execution in the marketplace.
  • Work with R&D and operations to ensure product quality and efficient supply chain management.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies (advertising, digital, research).
  • Monitor competitive landscape and market trends, providing strategic recommendations.
  • Mentor and develop junior brand management team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree: Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • MBA: Preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of progressive brand management experience in the CPG food and beverage industry.
  • Success: Proven success in developing and implementing effective brand strategies and launching new products.
  • Understanding: Strong understanding of consumer insights, market research methodologies, and P&L management.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Management: Experience managing cross-functional teams and external agencies.
  • Proficiency: Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
