Position Overview
At Sony Music Entertainment, we fuel the creative journey with a rich legacy and innovative mindset, supporting a diverse roster of artists worldwide. We are excited to partner with The Merch Collective—a boutique music merchandising company representing top artists in touring, eCommerce, and retail channels—as we seek an Art Coordinator. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the artist merchandise creation process by assisting with design mockups, performing rapid design updates, and preparing final design files for production.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle mockup creation for designs on soft goods and accessories.
- Execute routine design edits from freelance artists and internal team members.
- Create PDFs of design mockups for streamlined internal and client review.
- Organize and prepare comps for various projects.
- Set up final production-ready files.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3+ years of design experience, preferably in the music merchandising industry.
- Creative and pragmatic design eye.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Understanding of screen-printing and embroidery processes.
- Sound knowledge of color theory.
- Ability to create custom and accurate garment/accessory mockups.
- Expertise in color separating design files.
- Skilled in editing colors within flat design files.
- 3D CAD capabilities are a plus.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
