Job Description

Position Overview

Are you looking for a place to deliver the excellent care patients deserve? At Del Sol Medical Center you will work as a Registered Nurse Surgery, providing professional nursing care as a circulating nurse in the Operating Room. In this role, you will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members, reporting to the Charge Nurse to deliver quality healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care as a circulating nurse in the Operating Room.
  • Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to deliver quality care.
  • Follow the guidance and instructions of the Charge Nurse.

Required Qualifications

  • Current RN licensure in Texas or a compact state.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current ACLS certification upon hire (or obtained within six months if transferring into OR).
  • Current PALS certification obtained within six months from the date of hire or transfer into OR.
  • Minimum College Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSN and/or OR experience is preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in reading and writing English for transferring physicians’ orders.
  • Ability to move in excess of 100 pounds with assistance from other staff.
  • Knowledge of body substance isolation procedures.
  • Strong listening skills with the ability to empathize and respond to patient, family, and partner needs.
