Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Human Resources Manager 2 to join our Engineering HR leadership team supporting a portion of the Engineering Air Dominance Division. In this full-time, on-site role at our El Segundo, CA or Palmdale, CA locations, you will serve as the primary strategic HR Manager for a key client group—collaborating with senior engineering leadership to implement people strategies, lead transformation initiatives, and drive talent development. Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership: Serve as the primary HR consultant to Engineering leadership, aligning people strategy with business objectives and long-term vision.
  • Organizational Transformation: Drive change management initiatives to foster a culture of high performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Talent Strategy & Development: Develop and execute comprehensive talent strategies that support business objectives.
  • Influence & Coaching: Provide executive coaching and influence decision-making across all organizational levels.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Lead complex, cross-functional HR projects (e.g., workforce planning, compensation, diversity & inclusion) from inception to completion.
  • People Leadership: Provide day-to-day leadership for a geographically diverse HR team, championing the development of HR talent and employee engagement.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree AND 7 years of related Human Resources experience, or Master’s degree AND 5 years of related experience in progressive HR roles and project management.
  • Requirements: Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance and Special Program Access; must be willing and able to travel 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Human Resource Management, Organization Development, Industrial Psychology, Management, or related field.
  • More than 2 years of formal leadership experience managing direct reports.
  • Experience working in a matrix or homeroom environment.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or engineering.
  • Experience supporting a large, California-based employee population including both exempt and non-exempt employees.

Benefits & Perks

  • Salary: $133,100.00 - $199,700.00
