Position Overview

Location: Facility in Morristown, New Jersey

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Telemetry RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Morristown, New Jersey. As a vital member of our team, you will provide comprehensive patient care in a telemetry unit, ensuring meticulous cardiac monitoring and patient safety while working closely with a dedicated clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and other telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately.
  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, focusing on cardiac care.
  • Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac-related procedures and examinations.
  • Maintains awareness of patient comfort and safety needs within the telemetry unit.
  • Observes and records patient conditions, promptly notifying supervisors or physicians of significant changes.
  • Responds to life-saving situations based on established nursing standards, protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Documents nursing history and physical assessments for assigned patients.
  • Implements patient education plans focusing on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient information and adheres to hospital safety and infection control protocols.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned within the scope of practice.

Required Qualifications

  • One year of recent experience as a Telemetry RN.
  • Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
  • Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
  • Current ACLS Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification.
  • NIHSS certification.
  • Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position.
