Location: Facility in Morristown, New Jersey
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Telemetry RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Morristown, New Jersey. As a vital member of our team, you will provide comprehensive patient care in a telemetry unit, ensuring meticulous cardiac monitoring and patient safety while working closely with a dedicated clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and other telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, focusing on cardiac care.
- Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac-related procedures and examinations.
- Maintains awareness of patient comfort and safety needs within the telemetry unit.
- Observes and records patient conditions, promptly notifying supervisors or physicians of significant changes.
- Responds to life-saving situations based on established nursing standards, protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
- Documents nursing history and physical assessments for assigned patients.
- Implements patient education plans focusing on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient information and adheres to hospital safety and infection control protocols.
- Performs additional duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Telemetry RN.
- Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
- Current ACLS Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification.
- NIHSS certification.
- Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position.
