Position Overview

Gainsight, the AI-powered retention engine trusted by over 2,000 companies, is building the AI-driven future of customer success. We’re looking for a full-time Principal Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team and drive growth and retention through customer trust by developing global advocacy and executive engagement programs. You will work cross-functionally with teams such as Sales, Product Marketing, and Customer Success in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advocacy Operations: Inform the strategy and execution of a global customer recognition and advocacy ecosystem, building a pipeline of advocates to support marketing, sales, and product initiatives.
  • Executive Engagement Programs: Operationalize high-touch initiatives, including the Executive Sponsor Program and Customer Advisory Boards, to align leadership with top-tier accounts.
  • High-Impact Customer Evidence: Orchestrate the production of customer success stories, video testimonials, and case studies that demonstrate measurable ROI.
  • Market Reputation & Peer Reviews: Drive third-party review strategies on key platforms (e.g., Gartner Peer Insights, G2) to maintain a market-leading brand reputation.
  • Sales & Revenue Influence: Partner with Sales and Customer Success to scale reference and referral programs, enhancing deal velocity and providing validated social proof.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience Required: 8+ years in Customer Marketing, Advocacy, or Strategic Marketing.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Executive Presence: Proven ability to interface with and influence C-suite stakeholders.
  • Strategic Storytelling: Demonstrated skill in crafting compelling, ROI-driven customer narratives.
  • Operational Mindset: Experience building and scaling repeatable processes and playbooks for global programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Gainsight Proficiency: Hands-on experience using the Gainsight platform to drive customer engagement or advocacy workflows.
  • AI Innovation: Experience leveraging AI-powered tools to scale content production or analyze customer sentiment.
  • Event Production: Proven ability to manage high-impact in-person and virtual customer events.

Benefits & Perks

  • Salary: $110,000-$165,000 USD annually (plus commission and equity program eligibility).
