Job Description

Position Overview

We are hiring an Outside Sales Engineer (Entry Level) to join our Sales team. This role begins with an intensive 6 to 8‑month training period at our corporate headquarters in Melrose Park, IL, where you will learn about our storage rack products, quotation processes, structural analysis, and design. Upon successful training, you will relocate to Florida (Miami, FL) to launch your career in outside sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete an extensive 6 to 8‑month training program at the Melrose Park, IL headquarters, covering products, processes, and sales techniques.
  • Prepare quotations and installation drawings for storage rack projects.
  • Perform structural analysis and design to meet customer specifications and various codes, including creating bills of material for proposals and orders.
  • Initially interact with sales personnel and project managers, then progress to direct engagement with customers, dealers, and distributors including ride-alongs with current sales representatives.
  • Utilize the company’s CRM to evaluate and follow up on leads, assist with quotes, and provide continuous improvement ideas to the Director of Sales.
  • Assist with maintaining existing customer accounts as needed and travel as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business with a strong technical aptitude.
  • A strong desire to work in industrial sales and develop a long-term career in outside sales.
  • A customer-focused and results-oriented attitude with excellent presentation skills and the confidence to interact with all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume, ever-changing environment.
  • Availability and willingness to relocate to Florida (e.g., Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, etc.).
  • Must have an excellent driving record and own a car.
