Job Description
Position Overview
This Executive Assistant position provides support for the Vice President of Economic Development and requires someone with extensive administrative experience supporting senior level executives in a corporate environment. The most qualified candidates will possess exceptional organizational and decision-making skills, a strong working knowledge of computer applications and administrative best practices, and the ability to work through shifting priorities with minimal supervision. The Executive Assistant works closely with executive offices across the Southern Company footprint to manage calendars, travel arrangements, and organize team events while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Please note:
As per current corporate policy, this position requires you to be in the office at Location: 75 5th Street, Atlanta, GA a minimum of four days per week.Schedule: Full time.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsibilities: Provide high-level administrative support to the VP of Economic Development.
- Manage executive calendars, travel arrangements, and team event coordination.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with utmost discretion.
- Coordinate with executive offices and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain a safety-focused attitude and strong service orientation.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent; Degree preferred.
- Experience Required: Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Assistant supporting senior level executives.
- Experience with timekeeping, expense reporting, travel arrangements, and meeting coordination.
- Proven ability to manage an executive-level calendar and respond to inquiries with minimal direction.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and proactively prepare for meetings and events.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, and technologies for conference calls and video teleconferencing.
- Demonstrated initiative, strong decision-making ability, and resourcefulness.
