Position Overview

As the Clinical Supply Chain Manager, you will lead the development, implementation, and administration of a coordinated Clinical Operating Room and procedural area supply operation at Hartford Hospital, ensuring that materials and supplies are managed efficiently while supporting clinical and financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement methods and systems to improve operational efficiencies and control supply inventory including procurement, receiving & handling, transportation, storing, accounting, and issuing of materials.
  • Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators.
  • Implement Supply Chain best practices to enhance overall performance.
  • Ensure adequate supply levels and coordinate timely supply distribution.
  • Maintain open lines of communication to ensure materials meet required standards.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to physicians and staff, fostering an understanding of supply chain best practices to meet both operational and financial goals.
  • Develop cost reduction programs while maintaining satisfaction levels.
  • Identify sourcing opportunities, service improvements, and product standardization consistent with meeting the client's expectations.
  • Participate actively in the Value Analysis program.
  • Maintain and support all manual and automated systems for purchasing, receiving, and distribution activities, including outbound shipping as required.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of applicable experience in healthcare logistics, distribution, and supply chain management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Innovative thinker with a proactive approach.
  • Comfort working in storeroom, warehouse, and manual labor environments.
