Position Overview
Compensation: $65,474.66 - $109,124.29 Annually. Our department is seeking a motivated, service‐oriented, and technically skilled IT professional to join the Infrastructure Division. In this entry‑level role, you will support modern telephony and communication systems by providing first‑line assistance to county agencies. You will be responsible for the administration of unified communications (e.g., Cisco systems) and the use of the ServiceNow IT Service Management platform, as well as applying basic scripting techniques to automate workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide frontline IT support and respond to service requests via the ServiceNow platform.
- Administer and support unified communications systems, including Cisco telephony.
- Utilize basic scripting (e.g., JavaScript, HTML, SQL) to automate tasks and improve workflow efficiency.
- Assist end users across multiple county agencies with technical issues and system support.
- Document incidents, resolutions, and technical procedures accurately.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of an associate degree in computer science, electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field; or a bachelor's degree in one of these fields.
- Minimum of two years of network and/or telecommunications experience.
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting Cisco IP phones and VoIP systems.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow incident management and ESMP service request administration.
- Excellent customer service skills in responding to end user support requests.
- Ability to apply basic coding/scripting (e.g., JavaScript, HTML, SQL) to enhance functionality.
- Experience collaborating with senior analysts and IT teams to implement system improvements.
- Maintaining accurate technical documentation of incidents and resolutions.
