Position Overview

The Fresno County Department of Public Works and Planning invites applications for the position of Engineer II/III. Incumbents perform a variety of engineering duties across programs such as Construction, Design, Development Services, Road Maintenance & Operations, or Resources. Fresno County is working together to provide excellent public services and ensure a better quality of life for our diverse community.

Compensation: $96,278.00 - $122,850.00 Annually

Required Qualifications

  • ENGINEER II - Option 1: Possession of a bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural, Structural Engineering (or a closely related field) from an accredited institution plus one (1) year of full-time, paid professional engineering experience.
  • ENGINEER II - Option 2: Valid certification as an Engineer-in-Training issued by the State of California, Board of Registration for Professional Engineers plus one (1) year of full-time, paid engineering experience.
  • ENGINEER III - Option 1: Possession of a bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural, Structural Engineering (or a closely related field) from an accredited institution plus three (3) years of full-time, paid professional engineering experience.
  • ENGINEER III - Option 2: Valid certification as an Engineer-in-Training issued by the State of California, Board of Registration for Professional Engineers plus three (3) years of full-time, paid engineering experience.
  • Possession of a valid Class "C" driver's license, or equivalent, may be required.
