Position Overview
Raymond Storage Concepts is a leading provider of customized material handling solutions dedicated to warehouse and fleet optimization. As an authorized sales and service center for the Raymond Corporation (a member of the Toyota Industries family), they serve clients throughout Ohio, Kentucky, Southeast Indiana and West Virginia.
Compensation: Starting at $22 per hour depending on experience.
Under the guidance of the Shop Operations Manager, the Warehouse Shipping and Inventory Specialist is responsible for performing shipping, receiving, and inventory management functions for inbound and outbound company equipment, used/rental items, and dock & door products, all while maintaining a safe, organized and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload equipment (trucks, batteries, chargers, dock and door equipment, etc.) and other materials for inbound and outbound deliveries; match BOL to inventory.
- Communicate with shop operations, sales, and rental coordination for shipping and delivery verification of all activities.
- Optimize the movement, storage, and processing of inventory to reduce errors and ensure effective workflow; develop and implement processes to drive accuracy.
- Ensure all inventory is properly marked/tagged, correctly located, and consolidated for POW customer deliveries.
- Participate in ASEC and shop 5S activities related to warehouse improvement projects.
- Position, stage, and charge equipment in the warehouse and consolidate orders for the installation crew.
- Inspect, verify, and accept shipments into inventory with a quality control focus; identify any missing or damaged equipment and notify the appropriate parties.
- Receive LTL shipments, notify the ordering party, palletize, band, label, and schedule LTL shipments.
- Perform general facility maintenance including cleaning, waste disposal, and upkeep following established schedules.
- Serve as backup/support to the Parts team on lift truck tire pressing, van replenishment, work orders, and customer orders.
- Monitor the propane cage and organize equipment upon receipt with asset ID labels; identify scrap equipment for disposal.
- Maintain a neat and orderly facility and prepare equipment for transport as required.
- Perform environmentally safe disposal tasks including dumping oil, crushing oil filters, and puncturing spray cans.
- Charge and equalize batteries.
- Keep the renewed and demo area clean, trucks straightened and dusted.
- Assist the Shop and Parts teams with minor repairs and additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
Required Qualifications
- One year of shipping & receiving and/or warehouse inventory experience
- Ability to operate material handling equipment, including forklifts
- Experience with loading/unloading materials on semis and flatbed trailers
- High school diploma, GED, or technical school minimum
- Proven ability to work effectively and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Capability to safely lift up to 70 pounds unassisted
- Willingness and ability to work in a warehouse environment, predominantly on feet

Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Dock & Door equipment is a plus
- General mechanical aptitude is a plus
