Position Overview
At Municipal Credit Union, you will support our Mortgage Originations Team by assisting with member applications, appointment scheduling, member documentation, reporting, and referral/lead tracking. In this administrative role, you ensure compliance with MCU and third‐party loan policies as well as federal, state and NCUA regulations—all while delivering exceptional service to our members. Key Responsibilities
- Build lifetime quality financial relationships with each member by providing competitive products and excellent service.
- Answer all incoming calls from general information phone lines and return calls to prospective borrowers.
- Refer calls to the appropriate person within the Real Property department and mail applications or brochures as requested.
- Pre-qualify applicants and take applications over the phone.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales tracking and member satisfaction survey reports using Microsoft Excel and internal reporting tools.
- Monitor member submitted applications and import new loans into the Mortgagebot LOS from POS.
- Schedule appointments for Mortgage Loan Officers and respond to emails and calls regarding approval processes, mortgage statuses, and loan programs.
- Review and process paperwork submitted by Mortgage Loan Officers and members; scan and upload application documents into Mortgagebot LOS.
- Coordinate with Mortgage Loan Officers, members, and processors to ensure smooth completion of the mortgage application process.
- Manage multiple loans in a fast-paced work environment and review pipelines daily to maintain smooth transaction flow.
- Order and track status of appraisal, payoffs, title reports, HOI, VOEs, and assist with post-closing requirements as needed.
- Adhere to all regulatory compliance training including BSA/AML/OFAC requirements.
- Perform clerical functions such as maintaining databases, supporting marketing efforts, and distributing thank you letters and promotional giveaways.
- Act as backup to mortgage processors and perform other duties as required by management.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience with at least 1 year in a residential lending origination environment.
- Familiarity with DocMagic is a plus.
- Valid NMLS registration is required.
