Job Description
Position Overview
UNC School of Law seeks a Strategic Digital and Marketing Specialist to join the Office of Communications. Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Communications, this role will plan and create engaging digital content for social media, digital marketing initiatives, and promotional videos while managing print and digital project production on time and on budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute digital content strategies across platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube).
- Produce photography, video, and graphic design materials that align with the law school’s brand.
- Conduct social media listening, reporting, and market research to inform communications.
- Write web content following AP Style and best practices.
- Oversee budget management and coordinate with vendors to ensure project deadlines and budget targets are met.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Proficiency in creating digital content and visual strategies for social media and digital platforms.
- Expertise in graphic design and layout using tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
- Excellent written, digital, and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all communications.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time, deadlines, and multiple projects.
- Experience in budget management and vendor coordination.
- Exceptional customer service skills, including active listening and timely delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in multimedia storytelling and strategic communications.
