Position Overview
Grants Accounting Specialist, Full-Time – Compensation: $25/hour, Location: 3816 Latrobe Drive, Charlotte, NC. Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized professional to coordinate documentation, reporting, and invoicing for high-compliance grants. In this mission-driven role, you will work with internal teams, vendors, subcontractors, and funders to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local grant requirements while supporting safe, affordable housing initiatives for our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce monthly, quarterly, annual, and close-out reports for high-compliance grants.
- Coordinate data collection processes required for reporting and assemble reimbursement requests ensuring accuracy and compliance with grant guidelines.
- Track and report on deliverables for each grant contract and assist with project-specific grant submissions and funder communications.
- Prepare timely and accurate invoicing for grant contracts, including collecting backup documentation and time-tracking data for billing reports.
- Maintain up-to-date salary and benefits information for program staff and support compliance with subcontractor and flow-down requirements, including Section 3 and Davis-Bacon requirements.
- Manage filing and organization of documentation for audits and monitoring visits while maintaining accurate electronic and physical records for all grant-related activities.
- Coordinate cross-departmental collection of grant-related information and update program documents annually to include required grant language.
Required Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to use a computer for up to 8 hours daily
