Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare geotechnical investigations or design activities that have significant impact on major company programs.
• Participate in marketing efforts for both internal and external clients.
• Organize, conduct, and coordinate or manage geotechnical investigations for transportation and other projects.
• Perform geotechnical technical analyses, prepare reports, and coordinate with designers to implement recommendations.
• Function as a Technical Specialist or Project Manager on large projects as needed.
• Supervise professionals, technicians, and design teams as required.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, GIS, and CADD.
• Experience with GeoStudio/Ensoft for slope stability, settlement, seepage, and deep foundation response analyses.
• Experience with Bentley suite of geotechnical data management and visualization software (gINT/OpenGround/LeapFrog).
• Familiarity with advanced numerical modeling techniques such as Finite Difference, Finite Element, and Discrete Element methods.

• Compensation: Expected range is $127,000 - $189,000, commensurate with skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
