Position Overview
Marriott is seeking a Hybrid Remote Senior Sales Executive to drive group sales at its prestigious property, VEA Newport Beach A Marriott Resort & Spa in Newport Beach, California. This role acts as the on‑property liaison for group sales, managing client relationships, contracts, and ensuring service excellence by maximizing revenue opportunities. Compensation: Hourly pay range is $32.58 - $57.57.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve group revenue goals by responding to incoming group/catering opportunities and actively up-selling each business opportunity.
- Utilize negotiation skills and creative selling abilities to close contracts and secure business within market conditions.
- Develop group sales revenue and operations budgets, provide forecasting reports, and ensure accurate turnover to operations.
- Conduct site inspections, monitor same‑day selling procedures, and guarantee a seamless transition from sales to operations.
- Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers, community partners, and collaborate with off‑property sales channels.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or a related field; OR
- 2-year degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel/Restaurant Management, or a related major with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in large group sales.
