Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing production processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose data-driven solutions for improvement.
- Design, develop, and implement optimized manufacturing layouts, workflows, and material handling systems.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping) to streamline operations and eliminate waste.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Conduct time and motion studies to establish production standards and performance metrics.
- Utilize simulation and modeling tools to test and validate process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality assurance, and supply chain, to implement changes.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
- Develop and manage project plans for process improvement initiatives, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for optimization.
- Design and implement performance tracking systems and dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all process designs.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in industrial engineering and operations management.
- Facilitate and lead Kaizen events and continuous improvement workshops.
- Prepare technical reports and present findings and recommendations to management.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, operations analysis, or process improvement within a manufacturing or operations environment.
- Proven expertise in lean manufacturing methodologies and tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in simulation software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic) and CAD software.
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab, SQL).
- Excellent project management and leadership abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working in a remote setting and managing projects across multiple locations.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus.
