Job Description

Position Overview

At Dow, we are seeking exceptional Undergraduate and Graduate level Engineering students for Internship/Alternating Term Co-op opportunities in Operations (Manufacturing & Engineering). In this role, you will support safe and efficient plant operations through process troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, optimization, and project management. You will work across multiple engineering disciplines and contribute to sustainable, world-class solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to plant operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient performance.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing processes and drive process improvements and preventive maintenance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Materials Science roles.
  • Adhere to safety and regulatory standards, including TWIC credentialing requirements when applicable.
  • Contribute to cost optimization, yield improvements, and overall operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Material Science/Metallurgical Engineering.
  • Ability to work legally in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).
  • Must provide own reliable transportation to/from the job site.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Commitment to relocate anywhere in the U.S.
  • Rising college sophomores or juniors with a preferred GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Enrolled in an ABET-accredited program with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Previous internship or co-op experience is a plus.
