Position Overview

Join Cisco’s Data & Analytics Office as a cloud data solutions engineer passionate about building applications in the cloud. You will have the opportunity to design, develop, and implement innovative data solutions leveraging cutting-edge cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, GCP, and Snowflake. Location: San Jose, California, US. As part of a dedicated team, you will work on the scalability and evolution of enterprise data platforms while driving business transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement cloud data solutions.
• Fully construct automated frameworks to streamline processes.
• Lead and drive data use cases to migrate from on-prem data platforms to cloud platforms (GCP and Snowflake).
• Architect complex ecosystems within the data landscape, covering both platforms and applications.

Required Qualifications

• Self-driven and a critical thinker who proactively initiates projects even without explicit requirements.
• Over 8-12 years of experience in designing, crafting, developing, and implementing cloud data solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proven ability to build ETLs and migrate complex applications (e.g., from Hadoop to Snowflake).
• SQL fluency and a robust understanding of the value of data.
• Experience working with databases and cloud technologies.
• A passion for technology with a focus on enabling meaningful business outcomes.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders to convert requirements into actionable solutions.
• Experience in providing solutions to complex problems through teamwork and innovative thinking.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Informatica is a plus.
• Ability to work with APIs effectively.
