Intel’s Information Security organization supports U.S. Government projects and is seeking a Network Security Analyst to assist senior engineers with the design, architecture, and build of secure classified network products.
Location: US, California, Santa Clara; Additional Locations: US, Arizona, Phoenix
Salary: $124,110.00-175,210.00 USD
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with architecting network and network security products in secured enclaves, including product testing, validation, and selection.
- Assist with design and long-term roadmap planning for scalability in secure enclaves.
- Support the definition of system security requirements including authorization boundaries, security domains, and data classification.
- Contribute to the design of security interfaces, interconnections, and trust relationships between system components and external systems using COTS, GOTS, and open-source solutions.
- Oversee hardening and configuration of systems in accordance with Federal, DoD, and Intelligence Community guidelines.
- Coordinate security assessments to identify control failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Business travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Top Secret Security Clearance.
- High School/Equivalent Diploma with 3+ years of applicable experience (including certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Network+, CISSP, CISM, CASP E, Security+) OR a Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of applicable experience.
- 2+ years of experience in event monitoring and alerting system management.
- Experience in scripting for automation and configuration management, secure coding, and encryption techniques in an enterprise environment.
- Experience using enterprise-caliber tools/applications for event monitoring and modeling.
- Experience in Microsoft and Linux environments within an enterprise information security setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active US Government Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI access.
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Cyber Security Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with four years of work-related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with DoD security implementation (e.g., STIG) and using security tools for environment management.
- Experience with business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
- Experience with network analysis tools such as SD Elements, Splunk, Sniffer, Wireshark, or Microsoft Network Monitor.
- Experience in automating processes supporting configuration management and process improvement.
