Lead Barista - French Bakery & Coffee Shop (Bakewell)

Position Overview

Bakewell is a premier French Bakery and pastry coffee shop known for its artisanal pastries, freshly brewed coffee, and exceptional customer service. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Lead Barista to join our growing team and help maintain our high standards of quality and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality espresso drinks, coffees, and teas.
• Train, supervise, and motivate a team of baristas.
• Manage inventory and order supplies for the coffee bar.
• Ensure consistency in beverage preparation and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and equipment.
• Provide exceptional customer service and build positive relationships with regulars.
• Collaborate with the bakery team to suggest beverage pairings for pastries.
• Handle cash register operations and monitor sales reports.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a barista (lead or supervisory experience is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of coffee preparation methods and equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Passion for coffee and pastries.
• Willingness to train and mentor team members.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
