Position Overview
Job Title: Back Financial Analyst-M&A #25-0720. Location: 1131 SW Klickitat Way, Seattle, Washington 98134, United States. Compensation: $110,000 - 140,000 per year. Schedule: Hybrid (combination of WFH and In Person). The Financial Analyst will participate in all aspects of the Company's M&A strategy and report directly to the Vice President-M&A. You will work closely with finance, accounting, legal, and operating business leaders to develop financial models, prepare detailed analyses, build business cases, and conduct due diligence for potential acquisitions, investments, and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Analysis & Market Research: Conduct research on market trends, industry landscapes, and potential acquisition targets to identify growth opportunities. Analyze competitors and relevant transaction announcements to inform M&A decision-making.
- Financial Modeling & Valuation: Create and maintain financial models and analyses, including cash flow models, operating metric benchmarking, and precedent transaction analyses to assess valuations for potential acquisitions, investments, and partnerships.
- Due Diligence Support: Assist in the due diligence process for potential acquisitions by coordinating with internal and external teams, and preparing key materials that identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Transaction Execution: Support the execution of multiple projects concurrently by planning around tight timelines and interfacing effectively with business partners and external professionals. Contribute to developing transaction best practices.
- Stakeholder Communication: Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials for senior leadership and board meetings.
- Monitoring and Management: Help track the performance of the Company's existing and new acquisitions, investments, and partnerships.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams to ensure acquisitions align with and support the overall business strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field (accounting, economics, etc.).
- Minimum 1-2 years of related work experience in infrastructure investment and/or investment banking.
- Inquisitive self-starter with intellectual curiosity, a strong desire to learn, and a passion for producing excellent work with attention to detail.
- Proven ability to develop financial models independently with high accuracy.
- Strong financial acumen and knowledge of valuation methodologies and debt structures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to drive multiple analyses in a fast-paced, transaction-oriented environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency using data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, PowerPoint, and business intelligence platforms.
