The Inventory and Temperature-Controlled Storage Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical inventory. This position is responsible for the accurate receiving, storage, documentation, and movement of refrigerated drug products in accordance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements, and partner standards. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with cold chain protocols and maintain secure, organized, and traceable inventory practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical products.
- Store inventory in temperature-controlled environments (2–8°C), ensuring compliance with cold chain guidelines.
- Log and track inventory movement, ensuring all products entering or leaving cold storage are accurately recorded.
- Maintain real-time inventory records using internal systems and inventory software (e.g., Fishbowl, Lspedia, Excel).
- Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Monitor and document refrigerator temperatures to ensure ongoing compliance and product integrity.
- Ensure safe and compliant handling of pharmaceutical products per SOPs and regulatory standards.
- Prepare and stage products for internal and external shipments, ensuring proper cold chain packaging.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy and logistics teams to coordinate timely deliveries and replenishments.
- Assist the Pharmacy Technicians as needed on the floor with pharmaceutical materials.
- Report temperature excursions, inventory discrepancies, or potential non-compliance immediately to supervisors.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required.
- Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to wear PPE including steel-toe shoes when required.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in pharmaceutical, warehouse, or supply chain operations preferred.
- Familiarity with DSCSA compliance and inventory systems (Fishbowl, Lspedia, Excel) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
