Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated professional for a FULL TIME role responsible for the proper, safe, and efficient operation of the Engine Room and air-conditioning equipment that supplies hot water, steam, and HVAC services to the CityPlex Towers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate the Engine Room equipment including all boilers, auxiliary equipment, pumps, controls, and valves per the manufacturer’s instructions and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Check and regulate devices controlling feed water (quality and quantity), fuel, and combustion air to achieve optimal and economical operating conditions for the CityPlex Towers.
  • Operate chillers, boilers, and related equipment following manufacturer guidelines and established engineering practices.
  • Detect malfunctions promptly and take effective action to rectify issues, ensuring the prompt restoration of normal operating conditions.
  • Shut down and start up working and standby units as required under normal or emergency situations.
  • Assist the Chief Engineer by maintaining adequate supplies of fuel oil, water treatment chemicals, spare parts, lubricants, and other necessary items.
  • Maintain proper logs, records, and work schedules; support test runs and future efficiency improvement programs in coordination with the Chief Engineer.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks as directed by the Chief Engineer.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must possess a City of Tulsa First Class Stationary Engineer License (unlimited preferred).
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Ability to operate and learn mechanical and computer equipment used within the department.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
