Job Story

Working closely with the Recruitment and Communications Specialists to provide support for the marketing and social media aspects of the College of Fine Arts, providing support in the following areas:

  • Social Media Marketing: assist in creating engaging content, managing online communities, and analyzing performance metrics to enhance our digital presence and connect with our audience.
  • Content Creation: Developing articles, blog posts, and marketing materials tailored to the organization's style and audience
  • Up to 20 hours per week: Must be able to work morning and afternoon shifts.

Job Summary

A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.

Required Education

High School diploma or equivalent. Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at Wichita State University.

Additional Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
  • Social media proficiency and skills for content creation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Computer experience in a PC/Windows or Apple environment - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite.

Physical Requirements

Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
