Job Description
Position Overview
Researcher/Scientist III – Based at the Main Campus in Tucson, AZ USA. The researcher will be involved in the analysis of existing field data on cooperation and well-being, help design and develop new in-person and online studies, and conduct fieldwork in Northern Nicaragua – including two visits lasting 1-3 months in the Bosawas biosphere reserve. This role offers opportunities for mentorship, professional development, and collaboration on ongoing projects, while requiring strong skills in statistics (e.g., SEM, multi-level models, longitudinal data, social networks), data visualization, and domain knowledge in cooperation/prosocial behavior, evolutionary human sciences, and/or affective science.
Key Responsibilities
- Analysis of existing field data
- Designing and conducting new online and in-person studies
- Dissemination of findings through presentations and publications
- Conducting fieldwork in Northern Nicaragua
- Collaborating with faculty, researchers, and graduate students on ongoing projects
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Fluent in Spanish (both written and spoken)

- Compensation: Salary at 1.0 FTE with a range of $59,404 - $74,254, based on qualifications and experience.
