Position Overview
Rockwell Automation is a global technology leader dedicated to helping manufacturers become more productive, sustainable, and agile. The Director, Portfolio Marketing is responsible for developing and implementing commercial strategies to maximize customer demand and drive sales growth for our global portfolio of products, services, and solutions. This role drives go‐to‐market plans, integrates external market insights, and collaborates across business units to deliver a compelling and differentiated value proposition. The position reports directly to the VP, Global Marketing & Chief Marketing Officer.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner across the organization to develop the commercial strategy, narrative, and marketing plan, aligning with company vision and strategic goals.
- Serve as a key commercial partner to Business Unit leadership, providing critical insights for portfolio strategy, new product launch planning, and execution.
- Drive portfolio awareness, demand creation, and ongoing performance assessment to optimize revenue results.
- Collaborate with business units to integrate external insights, company strategies, and holistic solution roadmaps.
- Lead special projects, advising on partnerships, joint ventures, and acquisitions to support inorganic growth.
- Manage the hiring, development, and mentoring of the portfolio marketing team.
- Provide strategic insight on identifying and developing new offerings based on market trends and competitive analysis.
- Develop and execute comprehensive go‐to‐market plans, optimizing marketing investments and managing analyst relations.
- Collaborate with sales, partner enablement, and related teams to create integrated campaigns that drive demand and enable sales.
- Oversee content creation for websites, campaigns, and sales/partner enablement efforts while establishing effective measurement tools.
- Develop thought leadership pieces and ensure a strong, cohesive marketing message across strategic partners.
Required Qualifications
- Legal authorization to work is required – no employment visa sponsorship is available.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 12 years of strategy and marketing experience with a proven track record in portfolio-oriented messaging.
- Experience developing multi-year strategic plans and executing them across cross-regional and functional teams.
- Expertise in budget management, capital allocation, and precise forecasting.
- Experience in the industrial automation domain with an in-depth understanding of a broad product, software, and service portfolio.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA preferred.
- Proven success in managing within global matrix organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to build, coach, and develop high-performing, collaborative teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong interpersonal abilities.
