Job Description
Position Overview
This position requires a self-starter who is motivated to succeed. Our award winning remodeling & design firm is growing, and our ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, adaptable to change and able to juggle multiple projects at once. Attention to detail, extensive remodeling experience, comfort with technology and superb communication skills are a must for this role. This is a full-time opportunity. Compensation: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year. Work location: In person.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with potential clients in conjunction with our remodel team to review our process and provide a Design & Remodeling Agreement for review.
- Work with clients who sign a design contract to design kitchen, bathroom, and full home remodeling projects.
- Create a full design pack including as-built drawings, design/construction drawings (2D/3D), material selection boards, and detailed notes for our remodel team.
- Collaborate individually with clients on materials, appliance, and fixture selections.
- Present final design to clients at our showroom for sign off.
- Work with the remodel team during the pre-construction phase to review all design-related items and answer questions.
- Conduct weekly site meetings to ensure design and construction are in sync.
- Close out projects upon completion, coordinate with homeowners, and schedule relevant photographs.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in 2020 Design, Chief Architect, or similar design software with the ability to create construction plans and high-end digital renderings.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and/or Interior Design – OR equivalent working knowledge in a similar field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Expertise with sales and design technology such as cloud-based CRMs, design software, and rendering software.
- Minimum of 5 years in-home or retail interior design client consultation experience.
- Ability to visualize layout, space planning, and overall design development, focusing on kitchen, bathroom, and full floor remodeling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with an analytical view of potential complications.
- Solid understanding of the design process from concept through construction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Chief Architect Premier (or similar software).
- Knowledge of Oregon permitting, Residential Build & Zoning Codes.
- Comfortable meeting with potential clients for remodeling projects, guiding them through our process and facilitating remodeling & design agreements.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Passion for both big picture design and detailed work.
- A driven, take-charge work ethic with seamless team collaboration.
- Ability to take accurate critical measurements.
- Experience producing as-builts, design drawings, and selection boards.
