Senior Network & Security Engineer

Job Description

Glocomms is partnering with a reputable, cutting-edge financial firm to find an experienced Senior Network & Security Engineer to join a team responsible for designing, operating, and supporting a large-scale, global network environment spanning offices, data centers, and colocation facilities.

This role is hands-on and technical, with a strong focus on data center networking, WAN technologies, automation, and operational excellence. You'll work closely with network, infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams to ensure a highly available and scalable network platform.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and support scalable data center and enterprise network infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across routing, switching, firewalls, and WAN
• Support and improve WAN architectures, including modern routing and segmentation approaches
• Automate network operations using tools like Python, Ansible, Git, and templates
• Monitor network performance and proactively address reliability and capacity concerns
• Contribute to Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD-style network deployments
• Collaborate cross-functionally on new designs and technology improvements
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices and documentation

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience supporting large-scale enterprise or data center networks
• Hands-on expertise with Cisco and/or Arista network platforms
• Solid knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EVPN, VXLAN, and MPLS
• Experience with WAN technologies (SD-WAN, segment routing, multi-tenant designs preferred)
• Working knowledge of scripting and automation (Python, Ansible, Git, Jinja2)
• Strong troubleshooting skills, including packet-level analysis
• Experience working in Agile or DevOps-oriented environments
• Excellent communication skills and comfort operating in high-impact environments

Nice to Have

• CCNP or equivalent certification (CCIE a plus)
• Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) or InfiniBand environments
