Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to drive our business development efforts within the renewable energy sector. As an SDR, you will play a pivotal role in generating and qualifying leads, initiating conversations with prospective clients, and setting up meetings for our sales team. You will be at the forefront of the clean energy revolution, educating potential clients about our cutting-edge products and solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and qualify prospective leads for renewable energy procurement projects with a focus on BESS, transformers, PV panels, breakers, and switchgear.
- Reach out to prospects through calls, emails, and LinkedIn, articulating the unique value proposition of our solutions.
- Conduct initial discovery calls to understand potential clients’ project requirements and challenges.
- Nurture and manage leads through the sales funnel, scheduling appointments and seamlessly handing off qualified opportunities to the sales team.
- Maintain accurate records and activities in the CRM system.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to refine messaging and target new customer segments.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive solutions, and market developments in renewable energy and electrical infrastructure.
- Attend industry events, webinars, and training sessions as needed to enhance knowledge and network within the sector.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience: (Engineering, Business, or related fields preferred).
- 3+ years’ experience: in B2B sales, business development, or lead generation, ideally within renewable energy, electrical, or industrial sectors.
- Experience: working with EPCs, utilities, developers, or large commercial clients, with CRM (e.g. HubSpot) and sales analytics tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills: ability to explain technical products and concepts in simple terms.
- Self-starter: Driven, curious, and passionate about renewable energy and sustainability.
- Results-oriented: with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Willingness to travel: up to 20% as needed.
