Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, identifying and reporting any changes in status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers.
  • Document care administration in the patient record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor the therapeutic response.
  • Notify the provider and intervene appropriately in the event of an adverse medication response.
  • Deliver exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests.
  • Anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the medical condition, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures.
  • Translate complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • No previous experience needed
  • Some travel may be needed for training

Preferred Qualifications

  • Mentoring experience
  • 1 year Associate's degree experience
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
