Position Overview

Franz Family Bakery, established in 1906 and a leader in baking across the Pacific Northwest, is looking for a multidisciplinary Graphic & Web Designer for its fast‑paced, on‑site Marketing Team. In this role, you will help shape the future visual identity of premium bakery brands by creating compelling packaging, marketing materials, digital content, and website updates. Key Responsibilities

• Design food packaging (bags, labels, boxes) from concept, layout, to print‑ready files.
• Create marketing materials for print, digital, point‑of‑purchase displays, and social media content.
• Develop and design branding assets such as logos and campaign materials.
• Update websites, monitor performance (search terms, rankings, analytics), and recommend improvements.
• Lead design projects, manage associated tasks, and collaborate closely with the marketing team to ensure consistency and quality.

Required Qualifications

• Strong grasp of design principles including layout, typography, visual hierarchy, and responsive design.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office tools.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while maintaining high quality control standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in graphic and web design, preferably within the food industry.
• Bachelor's degree in design, graphic design, web design, marketing, or a related field.
• Experience with flexible packaging, corrugated materials, and FDA food labeling laws.
• Proficiency in website design/development (HTML, CSS) and working knowledge of CMS platforms such as WordPress; experience with Shopify is a plus.
• Skills in food photography, motion/animation, or familiarity with AI creative tools are preferred.
