Job Description

Position Overview

Vantage Data Centers powers, cools, protects, and connects the technology of leading hyperscale players, cloud solution providers, and large enterprises worldwide. In this role within the People and Culture/Learning and Development team, you will serve as an Onboarding Coordinator based out of Denver, CO or Ashburn, VA (in line with our flexible work policy of 3 days in office, 2 days remote). You will own the new hire journey from pre-boarding through integration, delivering a seamless, engaging, and compliant experience that blends operational excellence with top-notch learning support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the end-to-end onboarding process from offer acceptance through the probationary period.
  • Coordinate pre-employment background checks and ensure timely completion.
  • Prepare and deliver onboarding materials and system access, as well as facilitate orientation sessions introducing company culture, values, and policies.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with new hires and partner with learning administration to track course enrollments and maintain program records.
  • Assist in creating engaging learning materials, presentations, and e-learning modules while coordinating logistics for onboarding programs and events.
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of onboarding and learning initiatives through feedback and analytics.
  • Ensure compliance by staying current on employment laws, maintaining accurate records, and performing regular audits.
  • Leverage HRIS and other systems to optimize onboarding workflows and support continuous process improvements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires, collecting feedback and coordinating employee engagement activities to foster a strong sense of belonging.
  • Handle additional duties as assigned and participate in travel requirements (up to 5%, with potential for increase).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Learning & Development, Training, or HR-related roles.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and learning management systems (Workday preferred) and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Experience with SharePoint and Canva is a plus; bi-lingual (English/French) is also a plus.

  • Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000 Base + Bonus (based on Colorado market data; may vary by location).
