Job Description

Position Overview

Under direction of the Department of State Hospitals (DSH) site supervisor, the Information Technology Supervisor I—also serving as the Client Services Team Supervisor—is responsible for performing a variety of recurring, well‐defined tasks with occasional innovative problem solving in accordance with established guidelines. Applicants should review the Duty Statement and the Minimum Requirements in the Class Specification for additional details. Salary: $7,736.00 - $10,366.00 Location: Fresno County Schedule: Hybrid. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Client Services Team while adhering to DSH guidelines.
  • Coordinate with the DSH site supervisor and other departments to ensure effective IT service management.
  • Implement and monitor recurring tasks and provide innovative solutions when challenges arise.

Required Qualifications:

  • Meet all Requirements: as outlined in the Classification Specification, including completion of a Background Investigation and Medical Clearance.
  • Submission of a complete application package, including the State Examination/Employment Application (STD 678), resume, and transcript evaluation (if applicable), is required.
  • Prior IT supervisory experience and familiarity with IT service management tools is expected.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with help desk and desktop support operations.
  • Proven ability in incident management and use of IT service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).
