We are seeking an Engineer 1 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit to design, engineer, integrate, operate, and maintain advanced electronic security services.

Key Responsibilities

The Engineer provides system programming and management support for large-scale networking infrastructures, addressing system integration, performance analysis, problem resolution, and security initiatives.

• Maintaining system documentation and maintenance records while generating weekly and/or monthly summary status reports.
• Spending four (4) to six (6) hours per week staying current on industry trends and available products and services.
• Performing staging and setup as needed for project support and self-instruction.
• Working closely with Systems Engineers to install and configure networks based on an Installation Design Package (IDP) that satisfies customer requirements.
• Researching equipment from various manufacturers to resolve technical issues during installation and testing.
• Collaborating with the Design Department to identify and correct design problems during the design cycle.
• Suggesting process improvements and cost savings to support future installations.
• Providing systems support for a high-performance computing center, including installation, management, and monitoring of computer systems, workstations, operating systems, peripherals, and system interfaces.
• Designing automation systems with detailed material lists and producing user guidelines and manuals for custom applications.

Required Qualifications

• Applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements including U.S. Citizenship; ACTIVE TS/SCI w/ POLY is REQUIRED.
• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited institution, along with 0+ years of relevant experience providing SE services for physical security systems and IT solutions.
• Ability to work extended hours in front of computer screens, maintain concentration for long periods, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity (e.g., using a keyboard).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to apply general rules to specific problems effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
• Proven experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is a plus.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
