Finance and Operations Director

Job Title

Seeking a high-ownership Finance and Operations Director, the full-time remote role will establish financial systems, drive strategic analyses, and oversee compliance while supporting the rapid scaling of a new AI-focused global development organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish high-caliber financial systems and reporting, including grant tracking and year-end audits
• Run analyses to drive strategic organizational decisions through financial modeling and forecasting
• Manage legal affairs and contracting, serving as the primary internal point of contact for all legal matters

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years in finance, strategic operations, consulting, or nonprofit leadership with experience in organizational finance management
• Experience managing external partners such as accountants, attorneys, and auditors
• Strong written communication skills for translating complex financial concepts to diverse stakeholders
• CPA, JD, or equivalent professional credential: strongly preferred, with nonprofit-specific training a plus
• Experience with nonprofit finance and compliance, particularly in 501(c)(3) environments
