Our client is a leading innovator in supply chain solutions and is actively seeking a skilled and analytical Remote Logistics & Supply Chain Analyst to join their growing team. This position is fully remote, allowing you to contribute from anywhere within the US. You will be instrumental in analyzing complex logistical data, identifying inefficiencies, and developing strategies to optimize our client's global supply chain operations. This role requires a sharp, data-driven mindset, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of logistics principles.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large datasets related to logistics, transportation, inventory, and warehousing to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement supply chain optimization strategies to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance delivery performance.
- Create detailed reports and dashboards visualizing key performance indicators (KPIs) and presenting findings to management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, operations, and sales, to ensure seamless supply chain integration.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing carrying costs.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and software solutions to enhance supply chain visibility and management.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed supply chain initiatives.
- Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain, developing contingency plans.
- Stay current with industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes in logistics and supply chain management.
- Support the development and implementation of new logistics processes and procedures.
- Work closely with transportation carriers and 3PL providers to negotiate rates and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis as requested by senior management to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree: in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related quantitative field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain analysis, or a related analytical role.
- Proficiency: Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, including Excel (advanced functions, PivotTables), SQL, and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity: with supply chain management software (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS).
- Skills: Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding: Strong understanding of logistics operations, transportation modes, inventory management, and warehousing principles.
- Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data to non-technical audiences.
- Motivation: Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting, managing time effectively.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Process Improvement: Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
- Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively in a virtual team environment.
