Position Overview

At Northrop Grumman, you’ll join our mission-driven team responsible for developing revolutionary systems that make history every day. We are looking for a Cyber Systems Administrator or Principal Cyber Systems Administrator based out of San Antonio, TX. This role requires on-site work due to the classified nature of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support (Domain, System, and Network Administration).
  • Monitor and maintain smooth operation of computer systems, applications, and user experiences.

Required Qualifications

  • For Cyber Systems Administrator: Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related experience; Master’s degree with 1 year; or 6 years of applied experience in lieu of a degree.
  • For Principal Cyber Systems Administrator: Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience; Master’s degree with 3 years; PhD with 1 year; or 9 years of applied experience in lieu of a degree.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • A current/active DoD Top Secret w/ SCI eligibility is required.
  • A current DoD 8570 Certification for IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+ CE) must be obtained prior to start date.
  • Provide implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution.
  • Configure and manage Linux and Windows operating systems, including installation, patching, network configuration, and performance enhancements.
  • Configure and manage virtualized environments, virtual networking, and storage solutions.
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support with clear escalation of issue status to management and users.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with on-premise environments and administering virtualization technologies (e.g., vCenter, ESXi).
  • Familiarity with multiple Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Red Hat, PyPi, CentOS) and Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and more.
  • Knowledge of routing protocols, ports, layer 2/3 switch configuration, and storage solutions (e.g., NetApp, Synology).
  • Experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo) and Virtual Desktop Environment technologies.
  • Proficiency with monitoring tools such as ELK, SolarWinds, and VMware Aria, as well as backup applications like VEEAM.
  • Desire and aptitude to learn new technologies and enhance troubleshooting skills.
  • Previous experience with RF systems.

Benefits & Perks

  • Compensation: Primary Level Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $110,900.00; Secondary Level Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00. Additional compensation may include overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long term incentives, depending on the position.
