Position Overview
Dewberry is currently seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer to join our Civil Group in our New York City office. Key Responsibilities
- Participate as part of a team in all facets of civil engineering.
- Design site, roadway, and street layouts.
- Perform utility design, grading, and drainage system planning.
- Manage stormwater management and permitting processes.
- Develop resiliency, erosion and sediment control measures.
- Prepare maintenance and protection of traffic schemes and contract plans for diverse public and private projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 1-2 years of work-relevant experience
- EIT Certification or current registration for the FE exam (preferred)
- Experience using CADD (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD)
- Experience with InRoads or Civil 3D modeling (a plus)
- Previous internship or professional experience in site/civil design, including site planning, grading, stormwater management, drainage, and soil erosion
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and decision-making skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check
Compensation
The projected range for this position is $81,100 - $83,600 annually. Depending upon factors such as skills, experience, location, and market conditions, this range may vary slightly.
