Job Description

Position Overview

As an Account Manager, you will be the key liaison between our government client accounts and our internal teams. You will manage day-to-day relationships, provide strategic guidance, and ensure that quality deliverables are met. Our hybrid work model values both remote flexibility and in-person collaboration at our Midwest offices in Louisville, KY; Cincinnati, OH; Indianapolis, IN; and Chicago, IL.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client engagement with various levels across organizations
  • Providing upward management to account leadership by reporting on relationship health, project status, and billing metrics
  • Leading cross-functional teams in meetings and presentations, and taking charge of next steps
  • Offering strategic thought leadership and guiding internal teams
  • Managing high and medium-touch assignments and ensuring timely completion of quality deliverables
  • Providing creative direction and ensuring high-quality outcomes
  • Overseeing media strategies to maintain consistency and quality
  • Managing digital experience assessments and holding teams accountable for actionable reporting
  • Collaborating with producers to align on project momentum and efficiency
  • Exhibiting financial awareness through billing approvals and project hour monitoring

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of agency account management experience
  • Experience in marketing and advertising strategy
  • Experience managing government or public sector clients with an understanding of collaboration, compliance, and communication nuances
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills in client-facing roles
  • Proven ability to brainstorm with teams for creative ideation
  • Exposure to both B2B and B2C marketing
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines without sacrificing quality
  • High attention to detail and strong process orientation
  • A self-starter mentality with a passion for continuous learning
