Position Overview
Guardant Health is a leading precision oncology company transforming patient care through advanced blood and tissue tests, real‑world data and AI analytics. We are seeking a field‑based Associate Account Executive to join our growing Screening and Early Detection commercial team. In this role, you will work closely with sales leadership to support the go‑to‑market strategy for a revolutionary colorectal cancer (CRC) liquid biopsy screening technology in primary care settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and target healthcare providers to promote SHIELD for CRC and other cancer screenings.
- Meet or exceed sales goals and maximize promotional budgets in line with Guardant Health standards.
- Identify and pursue strategic business expansion and collaboration opportunities with primary care practices.
- Develop and implement a business plan that supports the launch and brand strategy.
- Partner with national, regional, and local laboratories offering phlebotomy draw agreements.
- Analyze the competitive landscape to determine trends and provide actionable customer feedback to leadership.
- Recommend strategic plans for acquiring and retaining clients while managing promotional activities in your territory.
- Collaborate with cross‐functional teams and represent Guardant Health values with integrity, innovation, and teamwork.
- Travel daily within the assigned territory and occasionally regionally or nationally as required.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience in a customer‑facing, field‑based sales role, preferably in the healthcare industry (diagnostics, medical device and/or pharmaceutical sales).
- Proven track record of consistent closing abilities and exceeding sales targets.
- Exceptional verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to overcome objections and align client needs with solutions.
- Outstanding market, customer, distribution, and product knowledge essential for reaching sales objectives.
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality.
- Proven ability to build cross‑functional relationships to achieve business goals.
- Capacity to work independently, manage multiple projects, and prioritize effectively under critical deadlines.
- Strong administrative skills with proficiency in in‑person, phone, and virtual selling environments.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products and CRM systems (preferably Salesforce and Veeva).
- Demonstrated commitment to Guardant Health values including integrity, respect, and trust.
- Valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to meet access requirements for doctor offices and clinics.
- Ability to travel daily throughout the territory as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in sales/marketing of diagnostic products (blood‑based testing and/or phlebotomy) targeted at primary care providers.
- Hands‑on experience with product launch planning and execution.
- Familiarity with the primary care practice landscape within the territory.
- High‑touch customer service skills.
Benefits & Perks
- Compensation: US base salary range is $96,000 to $105,000 (excludes benefits, bonus, commission, or equity).
- Additional bonus, commission, or equity may apply based on performance and location.
