Position Overview

Location: Rapid City, SD USA
Schedule: 20 hours per week
Compensation: $34.00 - $42.50 (Determined by the knowledge, skills, and experience of the applicant.)

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilizes the ANA Nursing Process (2010) by acquiring a holistic range of data related to the healthcare consumer's health and situation.
  • Examines assessment data to ascertain diagnoses or pinpoint problems.
  • Specifies the predicted consequences for a specialized plan created for the healthcare user.
  • Establishes a scheme outlining strategies and options to accomplish projected outcomes.
  • Carries out the prescribed course of action to promote patient advancement.
  • Coordinates care to streamline healthcare services.
  • Focuses on health teaching and promotion by utilizing tactics to encourage wellness and a secure environment.
  • Collaborates with advanced practice nurses and nursing role specialists to offer consultation, elevate competencies, and generate positive changes.
  • Assesses headway in fulfilling patient care objectives.
  • Enhances nursing practice systematically to improve quality and outcomes.
  • Maintains proficiency in line with current nursing protocols and reviews practice per established standards, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Collaborates with peers and colleagues to foster professional development.
  • Works jointly with patients, families, and stakeholders to carry out nursing responsibilities.
  • Incorporates ethical principles and research outcomes into practice to enhance safety, efficacy, and patient care.
  • Provides leadership and direction within the nursing environment and upholds the aims and beliefs of Monument Health.
  • Adheres to state practice guidelines, institutional policies, and the Nursing Code of Ethics (ANA 2010) for safe and compliant care.
  • Supports the documentation of nursing procedures and ensures effective use of technology and work-related systems.
  • Strives for innovative problem-solving and may undertake responsibilities beyond the regular scope of duties.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing
  • Requirements: Certifications - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (American Heart Association) within 60 days of hire or transfer; Registered Nurse (RN) certification by the South Dakota Board of Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience Required: 5+ years of Registered Nurse experience
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
