Position Overview

For more than 50 years, our team has been recognized as a Top Workplace and an ENR Top 500 Design Firm. We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Power & Utilities team.

In this role, you will perform technical activities on assigned projects, participate in technical studies, investigations and designs, and work closely with senior technical staff to develop solutions of low to moderate complexity. You will provide technical direction to Designers and CAD Operators to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that company technical policies and procedures are followed during project execution.
  • Develop design approaches and concepts on assigned projects, seeking guidance from senior technical staff when necessary.
  • Provide discipline-specific engineering solutions for systems and designs of low to moderate complexity.
  • Delegate work tasks, collaborate with subordinate staff, and review delegated work for technical accuracy.
  • Assist in executing technical training programs for design staff.
  • Contribute to proposals and client presentations as requested.
  • Support the performance management process by providing feedback for performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate project designs with other disciplines by attending project meetings.
  • Conduct engineering studies, develop cost estimates, budgets, and project schedules.
  • Review shop drawings, record changes, and communicate with suppliers, contractors, and client representatives.
  • Perform on-site inspections during construction and coordinate design requirements with contractors and equipment suppliers.
  • Utilize design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
  • Actively participate in professional organizations and client groups to enhance the firm’s technical reputation.
  • Complete assigned tasks within designated time frames and budgets.

Required Qualifications

  • Professionally Licensed Engineer with a Bachelor's (B.S.) Engineering degree and a minimum of 5-10 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
