Job Description

Position Overview

As the Data Analyst in Digital Marketing at Lands' End, you will work closely with our in-house digital marketing and growth teams to define priority KPIs and analyze the performance of marketing channels and campaigns. You’ll support Digital Marketing teams (Paid Search, Search Engine Optimization, Display Advertising, Paid Social Media Advertising, third-party Marketplaces and Affiliate Marketing) by translating data into reporting, statistical analysis, and strategic insights – creating automated, data‐driven, scalable solutions that enhance performance across channels. You will also collaborate with Web Analytics, Data Science, and IT teams to improve solution development, data mining, collection, management, and quality. Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage Big Data Cloud technologies to analyze large volumes of data to identify trends and actionable insights.
  • Develop computer programs to collect and manipulate data between systems.
  • Optimize data collection processes and perform ad hoc statistical analysis.
  • Code programs to assist with data transfers via APIs.
  • Create meaningful reports and clear data visualizations using Presto, MySQL, and BI tools.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the LevelUp architecture, its related database tables, and the interactions between them.
  • Liaise with internal teams to understand product changes and their impact on reports and visualizations.
  • Automate frequent reporting requests to maximize efficiency.
  • Create new efficiencies in processes and reporting implementation.
  • Programmatically automate data delivery processes utilizing the Elastic Stack.
  • Build and maintain dashboards indicating various KPIs.
  • Conduct competitive intelligence analysis.
  • Manage Digital Marketing Channel data set imports to Data Cloud.
  • Manage 3rd Party Digital Advertising Platform data set imports to Data Cloud.
  • Manage Competitive Intelligence Services data set imports to Data Cloud.
  • Perform channel analysis for traffic and revenue forecasting.
  • Conduct keyword performance analysis from search channels.
  • Develop audience targeting recommendations.
  • Determine what data needs to be collected for future analysis for each channel.
  • Design and maintain automated data processes.
  • Develop models for predictive data analysis using Tensorflow and other Machine Learning tools.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in analytics, computer science, information technology, statistics, software engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience such as the Google Data Analytics Certificate).
  • 1-3 years of experience in an analytics role or a related field.
  • Strong competence in analyzing data and turning it into a communicable value proposition.
  • Experience writing SQL queries against large datasets.
  • Experience with web scraping techniques.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Google Suite products.
  • Skilled in programming languages such as Python, R, PySpark, and Java.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies including Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with software packages like Tableau, Power BI, and DOMO.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree is a PLUS.
  • Experience with Athena Serverless Interactive Query Service, Jupyter Notebook, and Google Data Studio is a PLUS.
