About the Role

We are looking for a proactive Chief Marketing Executive (CMO) to lead our marketing efforts in a fractional capacity. This role is pivotal in driving our brand forward, focusing on optimizing strategies rather than fixing existing issues. Your expertise will be essential in managing current agency contractors and refining our marketing approach.

The successful candidate will:

  • Own the entire marketing function from strategic planning to execution
  • Identify missed growth opportunities and align marketing strategies with inventory levels
  • Enhance customer retention and lifecycle strategies to maximize customer lifetime value
  • Possess a deep understanding of direct-to-consumer (DTC) marketing, especially in email, SMS, and paid advertising
  • Manage a substantial monthly advertising budget confidently and strategically

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 8 years of leadership experience in DTC marketing
  • A proven track record of collaborating with founders during periods of rapid growth
  • Strong instincts for branding and a disciplined approach to decision-making backed by data
  • Experience in related industries, such as accessories, fashion, or premium handmade products

Additionally, you will

maintain brand consistency, set the creative direction, and prepare the business strategically for an exit within the next 2-3 years. We seek a strong independent decision-maker who can build and scale marketing systems effectively without depending on the founders, and who genuinely appreciates our craftsmanship and understands our customer base.
