Job Description
Position Overview
As an AWS Cloud Architect, Mid, you will leverage your cloud computing and DevOps expertise to oversee a team of specialists and architect multi-cloud solutions that support the Department of Defense. You’ll work within a collaborative environment to design, build, and deliver innovative cloud components while modernizing IT infrastructure for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a team of cloud experts to architect and implement multi-cloud solutions.
- Collaborate with fellow cloud architects and engineers to design, build, and deliver scalable cloud components.
- Lead container application development using DevOps practices and tools such as Kubernetes.
- Utilize internal cloud labs (Azure, AWS, OCI, and GCP) to explore innovative solutions for client challenges.
- Provide technical guidance to ensure secure, compliant, and fault-tolerant cloud architectures.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, including AWS in FedRAMP and FedRAMP+ environments.
- 5+ years of experience leading multi-disciplinary solution efforts.
- Proven experience managing large engagements, spanning legacy and cloud system deployments.
- Demonstrated expertise in end-to-end cloud solution architecture, design, and deployment.
- Ability to architect, implement, and support highly-scalable, available, and fault-tolerant solutions.
- Strong technical leadership with experience guiding architects and engineers.
- Solid knowledge of security, compliance requirements, network architecture, and security principles.
- Must have a Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading DevOps teams and utilizing automation tools and processes.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- CompTIA Security+ Certification.
- Cloud certifications such as Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Google Cloud Architect, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certification.
