Job Description
Position Overview
This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and supports the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the professional Work Category at the senior Work Level and is located in DISA J6(GSVC)/ENDPOINT & CUSTOMER SVC DIR (FE45). Open to current DOD employees and eligible PPP applicants.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides technical guidance, interpretation, and implementation oversight to ensure the operational availability and integrity of enterprise applications, systems, networks, and data.
- Applies expert technical knowledge to server operating system architectures, configurations, system administration, integration processes, and software design principles.
- Utilizes diagnostic techniques, performance metrics, and tuning concepts to resolve complex operational issues and maintain a highly reliable server environment.
- Leads a team of IT specialists in the installation, configuration, and testing of software, hardware, and system upgrades.
- Manages current versions and future releases of applications while documenting system configurations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen; males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
- Must successfully complete required security clearances, drug testing, and counter-intelligence polygraph examinations.
- Demonstrated IT experience with strong attention to detail, excellent customer service, effective oral communication, and solid problem solving.
- Qualifying experience in directing IT projects and exercising technical authority across diverse IT disciplines.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% within the continental United States.
